What is binding domain?

The binding domain is the free feature for BSD (Branded Short Domain). When you bind the domain, the short links created by users will use your BSD instead of the default PicSee domain when they paste your official websites (or other specific domains) on PicSee.”

This feature can highlight your brand image. It makes your websites have the same short links domain when users shorten your website on PicSee. Shoppe is a famous user of using this feature. Therefore, when users shorten Shopee's website on PicSee, all of them will use sho.pe's short link by default.

How to set binding domain:
1. Click account on the top right corner, and go to “Settings”.
2. Switch the “Domains” tab.
3. Find the domain you want to set in the “BSD” section and click it.
4. Click “Start Setting” in “Binding”.
5. Enter your original domain (such as the official website domain). After your domain has been approved, every PicSee user shortens any links of this domain, the shortened link will be displayed as your BSD.
6. After setting up, you can put your mouse on the domain on “Binding”, and a trashcan will appear on the right. You can remove these settings by clicking it, and reset another link.
You can add more than one binding domain to the same BSD. Therefore, links bound with the domain will be shortened using the same BSD. However, if you have BSD, you cannot bind the same original domain to prevent the system from being unable to determine which BSD should be displayed.

Why review is required?

Because this feature will affect all the PicSee users, PicSee has to check if you have the authority to market this domain. Therefore, we will verify this domain by business card and DNS verification.
For example, if someone uses badbad.com as their domain after they enable this feature, all PicSee users will shorten the short link of badbad.com. It is possible that cause the trouble. So we need to check if you have the marketing authority of the official website before you bind the official website on PicSee.
We offer two ways to verify:
1. Business card verification: We will manually verify that the official website and company email are displayed on the business card match or closely relate to the domain you want to bind
2. DNS verification: If you can add this DNS, it means you have the managing authority of this official website.
After verifying, we will send an email to your registered mail to notify the verification result. Or you can see the review status at the top of the domain settings page.
